Complete guide to installing myKokoro tools on any device

What is a PWA (Progressive Web App)?

A Progressive Web App works like a regular mobile or desktop app but is accessed through your web browser. Once installed, it:

  • Works completely offline (no internet required after installation)
  • Appears as an app icon on your device
  • Opens in full-screen mode without browser toolbars
  • Provides native app-like experience
  • Updates automatically when improvements are made

Android Installation

Chrome Browser (Recommended)

  1. Open Chrome on your Android device
  2. Navigate to your Daily Tools website
  3. Look for the install prompt that appears at the bottom of the screen after a few seconds
  4. Shows "Install app" or "Add to Home screen" message
  5. Tap "Install" or "Add to Home screen"
  6. Confirm installation when prompted
  7. Find the app on your home screen with "Daily Tools" icon

Alternative Method (If no prompt appears)

  1. Open Chrome and go to the website
  2. Tap the menu (three dots) in the top-right corner
  3. Select "Add to Home screen"
  4. Edit the name if desired (should show "Daily Tools")
  5. Tap "Add"
  6. App appears on your home screen

Samsung Internet Browser

  1. Open Samsung Internet browser
  2. Navigate to your Daily Tools website
  3. Tap the menu (three lines) at the bottom
  4. Select "Add page to"
  5. Choose "Home screen"
  6. Confirm to add the app icon

iOS Installation (iPhone/iPad)

Important: iOS requires Safari browser for PWA installation. Chrome/Firefox on iOS cannot install PWAs.

Safari Browser (Required for iOS)

  1. Open Safari on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Navigate to your Daily Tools website
  3. Tap the Share button (square with arrow pointing up) at the bottom of Safari
  4. Scroll down in the share menu options
  5. Tap "Add to Home Screen"
  6. Edit the app name if desired (should show "Daily Tools")
  7. Tap "Add" in the top-right corner
  8. App icon appears on your home screen

iOS Installation Notes

  • No automatic prompts: Unlike Android, iOS doesn't show automatic install prompts
  • Manual process required: You must use the Safari share menu method
  • Full functionality: Once installed, works completely offline with all features
  • Native app experience: Opens full-screen without Safari interface

Desktop Installation

Chrome Browser (Windows/Mac/Linux)

  1. Open Chrome on your computer
  2. Navigate to your Daily Tools website
  3. Look for install prompt in the address bar or as a popup
  4. Shows install icon (⊕) in the address bar
  5. Or automatic popup asking "Install Daily Tools?"
  6. Click "Install" when prompted
  7. App opens in its own window
  8. Find shortcut on your desktop or in your applications folder

Microsoft Edge (Windows/Mac)

  1. Open Edge browser
  2. Go to your Daily Tools website
  3. Look for install prompt or click the "..." menu
  4. Select "Apps" from the menu
  5. Click "Install this site as an app"
  6. Confirm installation
  7. App appears in your Start menu (Windows) or Applications (Mac)

Verification - Is It Installed Correctly?

How to Know It's Working

  • App icon appears on home screen/desktop
  • Opens full-screen without browser toolbars
  • Works offline - try turning off internet and using the app
  • Audio plays in session timer even without internet
  • Fast loading - instant startup like native apps

Testing Offline Functionality

  1. Install and open the app
  2. Use it once to cache all content
  3. Turn off internet (airplane mode or disconnect WiFi)
  4. Open the app - should work completely
  5. Test audio in session timer - should play offline
  6. Navigate through tools - all should work

Troubleshooting

Install Prompt Not Appearing (Android/Desktop)

  • Wait 3-5 seconds after page loads
  • Refresh the page (may take a moment to detect PWA)
  • Clear browser cache and try again
  • Use Chrome or Edge browsers (Safari doesn't show prompts)

iOS Installation Issues

  • Must use Safari - other browsers won't work on iOS
  • No automatic prompts - this is normal, use manual method
  • Share button missing - make sure you're in Safari, not another browser

App Not Working Offline

  • Use the app online first to cache content
  • Check internet connection was stable during first use
  • Reinstall the app if caching failed
  • Clear browser data and reinstall
