1. Introduction

myKokoro ("we," "our," or "us") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information when you use any myKokoro mobile application or service ("our Apps"), including our suite of human and animal care applications.

2. Data Collection Models

  • Local Operation: Some Apps operate entirely on your device. For these Apps, we do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. All data remains on your device.
  • Cloud Storage: Some Apps offer account-based features. For these Apps, we collect your name, email address, and encrypted password. Data you enter (records, notes, photos) is stored securely in cloud infrastructure and is accessible only through your authenticated account.

3. How We Use Your Information

For Apps that collect data, we use your information solely to operate and maintain your account and provide the App's core functionality. We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or user profiling.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. Your data is only accessible to you through your authenticated account.

5. Camera and Photo Library Access

Apps may request access to your device's camera or photo library to select photos relevant to the App's functionality. This data is never shared with third parties unless you choose to share it through the App's export features.

6. Biometric Authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, Fingerprint)

Some Apps offer optional biometric authentication (Face ID, Touch ID, or fingerprint login) as a convenient alternative to password entry. When you enable this feature:

  • Your biometric data (facial scan, fingerprint) is stored securely on your device by Apple or Google and never leaves your device
  • myKokoro does not have access to your biometric data
  • We only receive a confirmation from your device that you have been authenticated
  • You can disable biometric login at any time and use password authentication instead
  • Biometric authentication is entirely optional

7. Export and Sharing Features

When you use the export or sharing features within our Apps (such as QR code generation, invite links, email export, or text sharing), you are voluntarily sharing your data with the recipient(s) you choose. QR codes and invite links may contain identifiers related to your organization or team. Please share these codes and links only with trusted individuals. myKokoro is not responsible for how recipients handle data you choose to share. Please exercise caution when sharing personal or medical information.

8. Data Retention and Deletion

You may delete your account at any time through the App's settings. Account deletion permanently removes all your data from our servers. This action cannot be undone.

9. Security

We utilize encrypted password storage, encrypted data transmission (HTTPS/TLS), and authenticated access to protect all cloud-stored data.

10. Children's Privacy

Our Apps are not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
